Resources can be classified based on their origin, which refers to where they come from or how they are obtained. Some common categories of resources based on their origin include:

Natural resources: These are resources that are found in nature and are not originated by humans. Examples include minerals, timber, water, and air.
Man-made resources: These are resources that are originated by humans using raw materials or other resources. Examples include manufactured goods, such as cars, computers, and appliances.
Renewable resources: These are resources that can be replenished naturally over time. Examples include solar energy, wind energy, and hydroelectric power.
Nonrenewable resources: These are resources that are finite and cannot be replaced once they are used up. Examples include fossil fuels (such as coal, oil, and natural gas) and minerals.
