    Dear Monika,
Thank you for your letter asking me about how I plan to overcome any difficult situation. I’m happy to share my thoughts with you.
To begin with, I believe it is important to stay calm when we face any problem. Panicking only makes things harder.
Next, I try to understand the problem clearly and think about what caused it.
After that, I look for different ways to solve it and choose the best solution.
Then, if I need help, I talk to my parents, teachers, or friends. They always guide me well.
Finally, I keep trying and never give up. Like the spider in the poem, I believe that trying again and again brings success.
So Monika, remember—never quit. Keep going, no matter how hard things seem. Perseverance always leads to success.
    Yours affectionately,
    Deepa

The steps I would take to overcome a difficult situation, just like King Bruce was inspired by the spider:

    1. Stay Calm – First, I would take a deep breath and try to stay calm. Panic can make problems worse.
    2. Understand the Problem – I would clearly think about what the problem is and why it is difficult.
    3. Look for Solutions – I would list possible ways to solve the problem and choose the best one.
    4. Ask for Help – If needed, I would ask my teachers, parents, or friends for guidance.
    5. Keep Trying – Like the spider, I would not give up even if I fail. I would try again and again.
    6. Stay Positive – I would remind myself that problems can be solved with patience and courage.
    7. Learn from Mistakes – I would see my mistakes as lessons to do better next time.
    8. Celebrate Small Wins – Every small success would keep me motivated until I overcome the challenge.

I remember a time when I felt like giving up. It was when I was preparing for my school’s annual science exhibition. I had decided to make a working model of a volcano, but things didn’t go as planned.
The challenge I faced was that the model wouldn’t work. I was struggling to get the eruption to happen properly. The problem seemed too big because I had very little time left, and nothing I tried was working.
At first, I felt discouraged and thought about giving up because I had already failed many times. I didn’t think I could succeed because the materials were not reacting as they should. I felt upset and wanted to leave the project unfinished.
But then, I remembered the story of the spider from the poem we read in class. It kept trying again and again even after falling. That story inspired me. I also remembered my science teacher’s words: “Every failure is a step closer to success.”
After feeling inspired, I decided to try one more time. I searched for better materials, tested them carefully, and gathered my strength to complete the model. With a new sense of willpower, I stayed up late and worked hard.
In the end, I was able to make the volcano erupt perfectly. My project was praised by the teachers and even got selected for the inter-school competition. I felt proud because I didn’t give up. It was worth it because I learned something new and gained confidence.
This experience taught me that giving up is never the solution. I learned that perseverance is the key to success. Now, I always remember to keep trying, even if something seems impossible. The lesson I learnt from this is to believe in myself and keep going, no matter how hard the situation is.

The fellow ants supported the struggling ant by joining in her efforts to carry the roti. Realizing that the task was too much for one ant alone, they worked as a team and helped her move the roti. This teamwork made the heavy load lighter and possible to carry. Their action shows the strength of cooperation. It teaches us that when people or friends come together with a shared goal, even the biggest difficulties can be solved with ease.

The bird’s calm and steady work while picking leaves gave the ant a feeling of inspiration. The ant had been struggling and was about to give up. But watching the bird do its work with focus gave the ant new hope. It realized that steady effort and patience bring results. The ant felt motivated and decided not to quit. This shows how one creature’s actions can encourage others without even speaking, simply through example.
