The Sun looks larger than other stars because it is much closer to Earth. While other stars are far away, the Sun is only about 93 million miles from us. This closeness makes it appear much bigger and brighter in the sky. Even though the Sun is an average-sized star, its proximity to Earth causes it to look larger than the many distant stars we see at night.
