Physics plays a significant role in our daily lives, even though we may not always recognize it. It governs the fundamental principles behind many everyday activities, devices, and technologies. From the moment we wake up, physics is involved in how we interact with the world. For example, the motion of objects, the forces acting on them, and the way we walk or drive all rely on the laws of mechanics. The technology we use, such as smartphones, computers, and appliances, functions due to the principles of electricity, magnetism, and electronics, all of which are rooted in physics.

The applications of physics have played a key role in the development of technology. Today we see the applications of physics in every walk of life. Some of the major technologies based on the applications of physics are as follows:
1. Electromagnetic waves are used in radio, television, radar and wireless communication.
2. Newton’s concept of gravitation is used in geostationary satellites which help us in forecasting weather and in geophysical survey.
3. X-ray are used in radiotherapy, in detecting fractures or dislocations in bones, in studying crystal systems, in engineering and industry.
4. The study of thermodynamics has helped to design heat engines which have revolutionised the industry.
5. The study of electricity has led to the development of electric appliances like electric motors and generators which are the backbones of industry.
6. Nuclear power stations based on nuclear fission constitute one of the major sources of energy. This question related to Chapter 1 physics Class 11th NCERT. From the Chapter 1. Units and Measurements. Give answer according to your understanding.
