What are the environmental impacts of using fossil fuels?

Using fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas can harm the environment. When burned, they release carbon dioxide, which contributes to global warming and climate change. Fossil fuels can also cause air pollution, leading to health problems and environmental damage. Additionally, extracting and using these fuels can damage ecosystems and harm wildlife. Because of these impacts, people are working to find cleaner energy sources.
