Why is the Maharaja of Pratibandapuram referred to as The Tiger King?

In Chapter 2, “The Tiger King” from Vistas, the Maharaja of Pratibandapuram earns the title “The Tiger King” due to his obsessive quest to kill tigers. When he was born, astrologers predicted that his death would come from a tiger. In defiance, he vowed to eliminate the threat by killing a hundred tigers himself. Driven by his determination to prove the prophecy wrong, he becomes an ardent and relentless hunter, making tiger hunting his life’s mission and thus gaining the infamous title, “The Tiger King.”
