Which part of alimentary canal receives bile from the liver?

Firstly, it performs two functions: (1) makes the food alkaline and (2) breaks the fats present in food into small globules by the process of emulsification. Bile stored in the gall bladder but it is secreted by the liver and from where it enters the small intestine via a common duct.
