Positive numbers are numbers greater than zero. They represent quantities above nothing and are typically used to indicate amounts that are increasing or greater in value. Positive numbers can be whole numbers or fractions and are commonly used in counting measurements and calculations.

Negative numbers are defined as numbers less than 0. For any negative number (n 0), it is always true that n < p. For example, if we compare -2 and +3, we have: -2 < +3
Thus, negative numbers are always smaller than positive numbers.
