The equatorial latitudes are the latitudes that are on or near the equator, which is the line of latitude at 0 degrees:
      Equator
The equator is an imaginary line that runs around the center of the Earth at 0 degrees latitude. It divides the Earth into the Northern and Southern hemispheres.
      Latitude lines
Latitude lines are imaginary lines that run east to west, parallel to the equator. They measure distance north or south of the equator, increasing from 0 degrees at the equator to 90 degrees at the poles.
      Countries near the equator
Countries near the equator don’t experience the four seasons like other places on Earth. They have the same amount of daylight and darkness throughout the year.
