What is a reference point?

  • 1

A reference point is a fixed place or object used to compare the position of something else. It helps in understanding where something is located or how far it is from a certain place. For example, when measuring the length of a table, one end of the table can be used as the reference point. By comparing other objects to this reference point, we can determine their position or distance accurately.
