How did Jainism define liberation?

In Jainism, liberation, or moksha, is defined as the freedom from the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (samsara). According to the class 6th social science NCERT, liberation is achieved by freeing the soul from the accumulation of karma through self-discipline, right knowledge, right faith, and right conduct. Jains believe that by practicing non-violence (ahimsa), truth, and detachment, one can purify the soul and attain liberation. Once liberated, the soul is believed to reach a state of eternal bliss and union with the divine, free from suffering and rebirth.
