How did Harappans transport goods?

The Harappans transported goods using a variety of methods. They used carts drawn by animals, such as oxen, to carry heavy loads over land. Boats and ships were likely used for transporting goods along rivers and the coast. The Harappans also had well-planned road systems, some of which connected different cities. Evidence of ports, like the one found in Lothal, suggests they were involved in trade with other regions, using waterways to move goods such as beads, metals, and textiles. These transport methods helped in the flourishing of their trade networks.
