How are laws created in India?

In India, laws are created through a process in the Parliament. First, a proposal for a new law, called a bill, is introduced either by the government or, in some cases, by individual members of Parliament. The bill is discussed, debated, and amended in both the Lok Sabha (the lower house) and Rajya Sabha (the upper house). Once both houses approve the bill, it is sent to the President for final approval. After the President signs the bill, it becomes a law that applies across the country. This process ensures that laws are carefully considered and representative of the people’s needs.
