Opaque materials are substances that do not allow light to pass through them. When light strikes an opaque material, it either gets absorbed or reflected, but you cannot see through it. For example, wood, stone, and metal are opaque materials. These materials are used in things like walls or doors, where we don’t want light to pass through. Unlike transparent materials, opaque materials block the passage of light completely.
