  1. (i) Hypertonic solution is the one which has higher osmotic concentration and less solvent concentration as compared to another solution.
    (ii) Hypotonic solution is the solution that possesses lower osmotic concentration and higher solvent concentration as compared to another solution.
    (iii) Isotonic solution is the solution that has the same concentration, osmotic as well as solvent, as that of another solution.
