Let “s” be total displacement, then
s/2 = V⁰ t₁
or t₁ = s / 2V⁰
and,
s/2 = V₁ t₂ + V₂t₃
= (V₁ + V₂) t₂
To find, Average velocity = Total displacement / Total time (should be taken)
= s / t₁ + t₂ + t₃
= 2V⁰ (V₁ + V₂) / (V₁ + V₂ + 2V⁰)
