  1. Eukaryotic cells contain many organelles to perform different life processes efficiently. Each organelle has a specific role, such as mitochondria producing energy, ribosomes making proteins and lysosomes removing waste. This division of labour allows multiple processes to occur simultaneously, making the cell more efficient organised and capable of supporting complex life functions.
