You have used internal angles of quadrilaterals, but they too require an exact definition, just like how we gave one for a quadrilateral. Precisely define the internal angle of a quadrilateral at a given vertex. Your answer should work for a non-convex quadrilateral too. (Hint: use the opposite vertex as well.)

At vertex V formed by adjacent rays VA and VB, the internal angle is the planar region between these rays containing the interior segment connecting V to its opposite vertex V’ near V.

1 Answer

  1. Let V be a vertex where adjacent sides form rays VA and VB, with V’ being the opposite vertex. The rays divide the plane into two angular regions. The internal angle at V is defined as the region between rays VA and VB containing the segment VV’ near V. For a convex vertex, this measures under 180°, while for a reflex vertex, it exceeds 180°.
