Stanza 1:

Today our papa
Is searching everywhere,

He has lost his spectacles,
It was his only pair!

Stanza 1 (Hindi Translation):

आज हमारे पापा
हर जगह खोज रहे हैं,

उनका चश्मा खो गया है,
वह उनका एकमात्र जोड़ा था!

Stanza 2:

He can’t read the newspaper,
He can’t watch TV,

He can’t cut the vegetables,
Oh! Where can it be?

Stanza 2 (Hindi Translation):

वह अख़बार नहीं पढ़ सकते,
वह टीवी नहीं देख सकते,

वह सब्ज़ियाँ नहीं काट सकते,
अरे! यह कहाँ हो सकता है?

Stanza 3:

He checked inside his pockets,
He glanced under his chair,

He searched near the window,
He looked everywhere.

Stanza 3 (Hindi Translation):

उन्होंने अपनी जेबों में देखा,
उन्होंने अपनी कुर्सी के नीचे झाँका,

उन्होंने खिड़की के पास तलाशा,
उन्होंने हर जगह देखा।

Stanza 4:

I told him, “Stop, Papa!”
I went up close, and said!

“Papa, your spectacles
Are right there on your head!”

Stanza 4 (Hindi Translation):

मैंने कहा, “रुको, पापा!”
मैं पास गई और बोली!

“पापा, आपका चश्मा
तो आपके सिर पर ही है!”
