Write a linear equation in two variables in which a = 2, b = 5 and c = 10.

  • 1

The standard form of a linear equation in two variables is ax + by + c = 0. Substituting a = 2, b = 5 and c = 10 gives 2x + 5y + 10 = 0.

1 Answer

  1. A linear equation in two variables x and y is expressed in standard form as ax + by + c = 0. Substituting the given values a = 2, b = 5 and c = 10, we obtain the equation 2x + 5y + 10 = 0. Since the coefficients are already integers, no further simplification is required. Thus, the required linear equation is 2x + 5y + 10 = 0.
