Why did Gandhiji decide to launch a nationwide Satyagraha against the proposed Rowlatt Act 1919? Explain any three reasons.

Gandhiji launched the nationwide Satyagraha against the Rowlatt Act because it allowed imprisonment without trial, restricted freedom of speech and extended wartime repressive laws. He believed it was unjust and violated basic human rights and democratic principles.
