Who is the Tiger King? Why does he get that name?

  • 0

The Tiger King, or Maharaja Jilani Jung Bahadur, is the central character in Kalki’s The Tiger King. He earns this name due to his obsession with hunting and killing tigers, which he believes will affirm his strength and masculinity. His relentless pursuit to eliminate these majestic creatures stems from a prophecy that foretold he would die at the hands of a tiger, leading him to declare war on the species to assert his power and defy fate.

The Tiger King is Jilani Jung Jung Bahadur, the king of Pratibandapuram. When the king was born the astrologers predicted that one day a tiger will kill this baby boy. He predicted that he would become a huge champion and warrior but a tiger would kill him. The child who was only 10 days old at that time was listening to these things. Growing up in life, he started tiger hunting and hunted many tigers very boldly after which he got his name as Tiger King.
