  1. Pressure is defined as force applied per unit area. If the same force is applied to a smaller area, the pressure increases. This concept helps explain why sharp objects cut easily or how water flows through pipes. In nature, pressure changes cause winds and storms. In science and engineering, understanding pressure helps design machines, tools and systems. It links directly with force and helps us control and predict the behavior of gases, liquids and solids in various situations.
