Class 6 Visual Arts Kriti-I Songwriting question answer
The two natural satellites of Mars are named Deimos and Phobos. They were discovered in 1877 by astronomer Asaph Hall. Both moons are irregularly shaped and much smaller compared to Earth’s moon. Phobos is the larger of the two and orbits very close to Mars, while Deimos is smaller and orbits farther out. Scientists believe that both moons could have originated from the asteroid belt and were later captured by Mars’s gravity.
