What are the advantages and disadvantages of using a solar cooker? Are there places where solar cookers would have limited utility?

Advantages of Solar Cooker:
– They are environment friendly.
– Use of a solar cooker does not involve recurring expenses on fuel.
Disadvantages of Solar Cooker:
– Solar cooker is very slow.
– Solar cooker can work only during summer months and is useless during winters and on cloudy days.
– Solar cooker can be useful at those places which receive plenty of sunshine. This is useless in colder climates.
Advantages:
The heat source for a solar cooker is sunlight. It is a clean renewable and inexhaustible source of energy. As its availability is unlimited, it will be pocket-friendly.
Disadvantages:
It doesn’t work on a cloudy day.
Solar cooker uses Sun’s energy to cook food stuff. It is inexhaustible, clean and renewable source of energy. It is free for all and available in unlimited amount. Hence, operating a solar cooker is not expensive.
Disadvantage of a solar cooker is that it (solar cooker) is very expensive. It works only in sunlight. Hence, on cloudy day, it becomes useless.
The places where the days are too short or places with cloud covers round the year, have limited utility for solar cooker.
