  1. Microbes are tiny living organisms present all around us — in soil, water, air, plants, animals and even inside our bodies. They cannot be seen with our eyes because they are very small. A microscope, a special scientific instrument, is used to view them. Some microbes are helpful, like those making curd, while others spoil food or cause diseases.
