      Let’s go one by one and underline the verbs and name the tense:
      1. He is asking you a question.
      Verbs: is asking
      Tense: Present Continuous Tense
      2. Oh, there are plenty of animal doctors.
      Verb: are
      Tense: Simple Present Tense
      3. I am going blind in one eye.
      Verbs: am going
      Tense: Present Continuous Tense
      4. … the trouble is that anybody thinks he can doctor animals.
      Verbs: is, thinks, can doctor

      Tenses:
      is – Simple Present Tense
      thinks – Simple Present Tense
