The poet speaks of several occupations in the poem. Create groups of five. Allot the role of any five vocations that the poet talks about. Each student in the group will represent one vocation. Each student speaks for 1–2 minutes about their vocation—who they are, what they do, where they work, what kind of experiences they have at work, what problems they face and a message for all.

  1. In our group, each student represents a different vocation such as potter, carpenter, electrician, farmer and cook. Each student introduces themselves and explains their work, workplace and daily experiences. They also describe the challenges they face, like hard labour, low income or long working hours. Each speaker shares how their work contributes to society and supports daily life. Finally, each student gives a message about respecting all professions. This activity helps us understand the value of different vocations and builds confidence in speaking. It also teaches us teamwork and appreciation for workers. Through this role-play, we realise that every job is important and deserves respect.
