  1. Choice (c) is correct. The function f is defined for all values of x except when x² – 2x – 3 = 0 
    x² – 2x – 3 = 0  ⇒ x² + x -3x – 3 = 0  ⇒ x(x +1) -3(x +1) = 0
    (x + 1) (x – 3) = 0 ⇒ x =-1 or x = 3
    Hence, the domain of the function is the set of all real numbers except x = 3 or x = -1. Domain of function f = R – {-1, 3}
