An electric generator is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. when a coil is rotated in a uniform magnetic field, an induced voltage is generated between the ends of the coil.
Electric Generator works on the principle of electromagnetic induction which obeys Fleming’s Right Hand Rule. When coil is moved inside a magnetic field a current is induced in the coil. The electric current is thus ‘generated’ by electric generator.
The principle of an electric generator is electromagnetic induction. It generates electricity by rotating a coil applied in a magnetic field.
