There are many important questions in Quadratic equations Chapter 4 Class 10th. In a quadratic equation, the term with the highest exponent is called the leading term. The coefficient of the leading term is called the leading coefficient. In a quadratic equation of the form ax² + bx + c = 0, the leading coefficient x² is the coefficient of term (a). There are many example questions to solve in NCERT Books for session 2022-2023 during practice.

  1. Let the first integer = x
    therefore, the second integer = x + 1
    Hence, the product = x(x + 1)
    According to the questions, x(x + 1) = 306
    ⇒ x² + x = 306
    ⇒ x² + x – 306 = 0
Hence, the two consecutive integers satisfies quadratic equation x² + x – 306 = 0
