  1. Given: kerosene have a refractive index of 1.47
    Speed of light in air is 3×10^8m/s

    Refractive index of the kerosene =speed of light in air /speed of light in the kerosene

    1.47=3×10^8/speed of light in the kerosene

    speed of light in kerosene =3×10^8 /1.47

    Speed of light in the kerosene =2.04×10^8m/s
    Therefore, 2.04×10^8m/s is the required speed of light in kerosene.
