If you were the merchant, how would you respond to the parrot’s request for freedom?

If I were the merchant, I would understand the parrot’s desire to fly free. Instead of caging it, I would release it and feel happy knowing it was enjoying its life among trees, sky and its fellow parrots.

  1. If I were the merchant, I would respect the parrot’s feelings and set it free. I would realise that real love means wanting someone’s happiness, not controlling them. The parrot deserved to live in its natural home among the trees and other birds. Even though I would miss its company, I would feel proud and happy knowing it was free, flying through the skies and living a life full of joy and purpose.
