How much distance did you cover?

  • 1

We covered about 1,500 kilometres during our train journey. Class 5 Maths Mela Chapter 1 says bicycles cover around 15 km in an hour, but trains can go much faster—sometimes up to 160 km in an hour!

  1. My train trip was around 1,500 kilometres long. It took many hours to reach. I learned from Class 5 Maths Mela Chapter 1: We the Travellers — I that different transports cover different distances—like bicycles cover 12–20 km, motorbikes up to 60 km, and trains 40–160 km in an hour. It helped me understand how distance depends on the vehicle and speed. I liked comparing our trip with what the chapter teaches.
