  1. A rainbow has seven distinct colours that always appear in the same order. These are violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow orange and red. These colours can be remembered using the word VIBGYOR. They appear in the sky when sunlight passes through raindrops and breaks into its different colours. The seven colours make the rainbow look magical and attractive, often forming a colourful arc after it rains.
