Share
Pollination is the process of transfer of pollens from anther to stigma. It occurs with the help of certain pollinators such as air, water, birds, or some insects. Fertilization, on the other hand, is the fusion of the male and female gametes. It occurs inside the ovule and leads to the formation of zygote.

Fertilization, is the fusion of the male and female gametes. It occurs inside the ovule and leads to the formation of zygote.
The transfer of pollen grains from the anther of a stamen to the stigma of a carpel is called pollination. It takes place by various pollinating agents.
Fertilisation occurs when the male gamete present in pollen grain joins with the female gamete (or egg) present in ovule. It takes place by natural or artificial means.
Pollination – In this process pollen grains are transferred from anther to stigma of same flower or another flower. In this process no fusion of 2 cells take place.
Fertilization – It is defined as the fusion of male and female gametes to form zygote. Fusion of 2 cells, male gamete and female gametes, take place.
