How does the angle of minimum deviation of a glass prism vary, if the incident violet light is replaced by red light? Give reason.

Angle of minimum deviation of light ray from a glass prism increases with increase in
refractive index. As refractive index of glass for violet light is more than that for red light, (11> 1) the angle of minimum deviation for red light is less than that for violet light te., (δα > δ)
