Umberto Eco explains that he finds time to write prolifically by practicing what he calls “interstitial” time management—using small, in-between moments effectively. He emphasizes that he doesn’t require long, uninterrupted hours to write but instead makes use of every available moment throughout the day, which allows him to be incredibly productive despite a busy schedule.
