1 Answer

  1. Bacteria develop resistance when antibiotics are overused or taken incorrectly. If people take antibiotics for viral infections or stop medicine early, some bacteria survive. These surviving bacteria change and become stronger. They multiply and share resistance with other bacteria. Over time, many bacteria no longer respond to common antibiotics. This makes infections harder to cure. Responsible use of antibiotics and hygiene are key to preventing this dangerous problem.
