According to Gauss’s Law, the total electric flux (Φ) through a closed surface is given by:
Φ = Qenclosed/ε0
where Qₑ is the total charge enclosed within the surface.
The total charge enclosed is:
Q enclosed = (+8Q) + (-3Q) + (+5Q) + (-10Q)
Q enclosed = 8Q – 3Q + 5Q – 10Q = 0
Since the total enclosed charge is zero, the outgoing flux is also zero.
Thus, the correct answer is (b) 0 V·m.

  1. According to Gauss’s law, the total electric flux through a closed surface depends on the net charge enclosed. The net charge is (+8Q – 3Q + 5Q – 10Q) = 0. Since the enclosed charge is zero, the outgoing flux is also zero. Answer: (b) 0 V – m.
