  • 1

Multiples are numbers obtained by multiplying a given number by integers. For example, the multiples of 4 are 4, 8, 12, 16, and so on. They represent repeated additions of the original number.
Multiples of 3: 102, 105, 108, …, 198 (33 numbers).
Multiples of 7: 105, 112, 119, …, 196 (14 numbers).
Common multiples (LCM of 3 and 7 = 21): 105, 126, 147, 168, 189.

1 Answer

  1. To find multiples of 3, divide the range 100–200 by 3:
    • Start at 102, end at 198, step 3 (33 multiples).
For multiples of 7, divide by 7:
    • Start at 105, end at 196, step 7 (14 multiples).
Common multiples are those divisible by both 3 and 7, i.e., their LCM = 21. From 100–200, these are 105, 126, 147, 168, and 189, forming the overlap of both sequences.
