Differentiate between clockwise and anti-clockwise turns with examples.

Clockwise turns follow the direction of a clock’s hands, such as opening a water tap. Anti-clockwise turns are the opposite direction, like unscrewing a bottle cap. Both directions are common in everyday life and help us understand turns.

  1. Clockwise turns happen when movement follows the same direction as the hands of a clock. For example, opening a water tap usually turns clockwise. Anti-clockwise turns are the reverse of this movement, opposite to the clock’s hands. For instance, when we unscrew a bottle cap or loosen a nut, we often turn it anti-clockwise. Both directions are equally important in real life as they help us recognize how objects rotate or move.
