The Greek War of Independence (1821–1829) motivated nationalist movements across Europe. It proved that oppressed nations could achieve freedom through unity and struggle. European liberals and intellectuals admired Greek culture and supported their cause. This inspired other regions, like Italy and Germany, to rise against autocratic rule and demand national self-determination and independence.
The Greek War of Independence: It was a successful war waged by Greek revolutionaries between 1821 to 1832 against the Ottoman Empire. Greek nationalists were influenced by the idea of liberal nationalism. They were supported by the West European countries in this war of independence. Further, the poets and artists, who added romanticism into the Greek struggle for independence, participated in this war against the Ottoman Empire.
