Describe an algorithm to compute the least common multiple (LCM) of two numbers.

Start a variable from the larger of the two numbers. Increment it step-by-step by that larger number. When the variable is evenly divisible by the smaller number, stop and report it as the LCM.

      1. Identify the larger number, M = max(a, b) and the smaller number, N = min(a, b).
      2. Set a variable multiple equal to M.
      3. Check if multiple is divisible by N.

      If yes, output multiple as the LCM and stop.

      If no, add M to multiple and repeat Step 3.

      (Alternatively, compute gcd(a, b) first and output (a × b) / gcd(a, b).)
