Each piece is half. Seven halves mean 7/2 parathas. 7/2 equals 3½. So, Dadiji ate three full parathas and one half paratha in total.

    1. Dadiji’s parathas were cut into halves. She ate 7 pieces of 1/2. That is 7 × 1/2 = 7/2 parathas. When I write this as a mixed number, it becomes 3½. So, Dadiji ate 3 complete parathas and half of another one. Altogether, she had three and a half parathas for herself.
