  1. When denominators are the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is greater. So, (a) 1/4 < 3/4, (b) 3/5 < 4/5, (c) 5/7 > 2/7, (d) 7/8 > 3/8, (e) 5/10 < 6/10, and (f) 2/6 > 1/6. On the number line too, the bigger numerator means the point is further to the right. That’s why we can easily compare these fractions.
