  1. A three-quarter turn means turning three-fourths of a circle. In degrees, it equals 270 degrees. This angle is greater than a straight angle but less than a full turn. For instance, when the minute hand of a clock moves from 12 to 9, it covers three-fourths of the circle, making a three-quarter turn. The hand still needs 15 more minutes to complete the full circle of 360°.
