Find two solutions which lie in different quadrants for the linear equation 5x – 3y = 7 and identify the quadrants.

For x = 2, y = 1, giving (2, 1) in Quadrant I. For x = -1, y = -4, giving (-1, -4) in Quadrant III. Both points satisfy 5x – 3y = 7.

    1. Substituting x = 2 into 5x – 3y = 7 gives 10 – 3y = 7, leading to -3y = -3, so y = 1. The point (2, 1) lies in Quadrant I. Substituting x = -1 yields -5 – 3y = 7, leading to -3y = 12, so y = -4. The point (-1, -4) lies in Quadrant III.
