All we know that – metal oxides which react with both acids as well as bases to produce salt and water are called Oxides of Amphoteric or Amphoteric oxides.
You can write as an example:
1)Al₂O₃ + 2NaOH → 2NaAlO₂ + H₂O
2)Al₂O₃ + 6HCI → 2AICl₃ + 3H₂O
