Explain different ways to induce current in a coil.

Different ways to induce current in a coil are as given below:
• If a magnetic field is changed around a coil then an induced current is set up in the coil. It can be done by taking a bar magnet and bringing it closer to the coil or taking it away from the coil.
• If a coil is moved in a magnetic field, then again an induced current is set up in the coil.
• If a coil is rotated in a uniform magnetic field, it may also produce an induced current in the coil.

For electromagnetic induction; the coil and the magnet should be in relative motion. This can be ensured by any of the following two ways:
(a) The coil should be moved within a magnetic field.
(b) The magnet should be moved and coil can be kept static.
Different ways to induce current in a coil are as given below :
(i) If a magnetic field is changed around a coil, an induced current is set up in the coil.
(ii) If a coil is moved in a magnetic field, an induced current is set up in the coil.
(iii) If a coil is rotated in a uniform magnetic field, it produces an induced current in the coil.
The different ways to induce current in a coil are as following:
a. If a magnet is moved relative to a coil, then an electric current is induced in the coil.
b. If a coil is moved rapidly between the two poles of a horse-shoe magnet, then an electric current is induced in the coil.
